I got involved in the Democratic Party at 16 because I wanted to turn hope into action, and I’ve never stopped. The year President Obama’s Yes We Can message lit a fire in me, and I knew I had to get involved, to show up, to knock doors, and to make a difference. I started volunteering with the Lancaster County Democrats, meeting neighbors, listening to their hopes and concerns, and turning out voters across Lincoln. That experience taught me the power of people coming together to create real change.
While in college, I served two terms as Chair of the Sheridan County Democratic Party. There, in one of the reddest and most rural parts of Nebraska, I helped bring new Democrats into the party and showed that progress is possible when we organize, listen, and act with purpose. Since then, I’ve worked on local, state, and federal campaigns across Nebraska, building strong teams, winning tough races, and delivering results. I know how to win, and I know how to bring others along with me.
I’ve also had the honor of representing Lancaster County and Nebraska at the national level. I’ve served eight times as a delegate to the Young Democrats of America and as a National Officer. During the 2020 elections, I helped lead voter outreach that made over 150,000 phone calls and sent 4 million texts, reaching young and new voters and bringing them into the Democratic Party. This work showed me that when people step up, when voices are lifted, and when we organize together, we can change the course of elections and the future.
In 2022, you entrusted me to serve as Chair of the Lancaster County Democrats. Together, we emerged from a global pandemic stronger than ever. We rebuilt our infrastructure, expanded our candidate bench, and increased our wins every election cycle. We achieved the second-ever clean sweep of Lincoln City Elections and reached 3.3 million voter contacts, powered by 340 dedicated volunteers. These victories weren’t just numbers; they were neighbors, friends, and families showing up for our community and for each other.
Now, I’m running for re-election as your Chair to continue building a party that represents all Democrats in Lancaster County. My mission is clear: elect Democrats up and down the ballot, overperform across the county, take back filibuster power in the Nebraska Legislature, and send Mike Flood packing once and for all.
Because when we show up together, when we organize, and when we believe in what’s possible, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish.
Together, we can keep winning.
